The science of implant dentistry has been around for over 50 years, and today, it has become the optimal treatment of choice to replace missing teeth…second to none. Dental implants may appear “expensive”, but it is a wise choice because it will last you for a lifetime.  Even the manufacturers of dental implants warrantee their product for a minimum of 5 years, if not longer.  As a general dentist restoring implants for over 20 years, I have to tell you, I have only seen one true integration failure in all these years…and it is in a chronic smoker. Other minor failures are due, not to the actual implant fixture, but to the porcelain crown that is cemented over it, or the porcelain abutment which holds the crown to the implant fixture.

Dental implants are fused securely in bone, and are extremely stable once they are integrated; they are not prone to decay, and are resistant to periodontal disease (in fact, they will not allow detrimental resorption of bone once placed). In recent years, dental implants have been made of variable diameters to simulate the different widths or root sizes of teeth. They are now extremely aesthetic, in part due to excellent surgical techniques and also to better laboratory technical skills and porcelain technology. Most of all, I love implants because they are strong. Most dental implants will outlast you and me, I’m sorry to say…

In my two clinic locations, my associates and I are dedicated to giving you the best surgical procedures through our experience, and our affiliation with preferred oral surgeons. We are also focused on giving the best functional and aesthetic results by replacing your missing teeth with dental implants. Whether it be a single tooth missing, or a whole bunch of teeth, you will be amazed at what we can do for you. Even if you are wearing a complete denture and have been told in the past that you cannot have full implant reconstruction, please come in for a consultation. At the very least, we can give you an implant-retained overdenture that will help your teeth function in a way that is secure, and reliable for you.

So don’t put up with a loose or ill-fitting denture. Don’t settle for a conventional bridge that will remove healthy tooth structure from your adjacent teeth! Ouch! Book an appointment with me or one of my associates. We can offer you more through our expertise and gentle care.

Please look below to see a patient who has benefited from a full upper reconstruction with implanted supported bridges, and a lower implant retained overdenture.
